Brighton, TN - LUTHER DAVID JAMES, 78, retired maintenance operator for E. I. Dupont and retired Master Sgt. of the U.S. Air Force, died November 9, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Millington, TN Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, November 10 at Maley-Yarbrough. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in R. H. Munford Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann Thompson James; daughter, Ruth James Pearson of Friendswood, TX; son Duane Clark James of Atoka; sisters Mary Sue Blalack, Ella Mae Tanner, both of Brighton; brothers, Henry Thomas James of Coldwater, MS; William Roland (Billy) James of Memphis, Nicky James of Brighton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters, LaDell Alexander, Virginia James. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, Millington, TN.
