Pamela "Pam" Busch, age 75, of Dekalb, Illinois (formerly of Huntley, Illinois) passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Pine Acres Rehab & Living Center in DeKalb with her family by her side.

She was born June 26, 1945, in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of John and Gladys (Rumsa) Karnis.

Pam held many administrative positions in her career. Her favorites jobs were working at PanAm Airlines which gave her the opportunity to travel abroad with family and friends and babysitting children, many who still love her as their extra Mom. Her faith in God was unshakable, even in the darkest of times. She loved volunteering and participating in small groups at St Mary's of Huntley. What she was most proud of was being able to volunteer after retiring at CASA of Kane County where she was celebrated for her many years advocating and being a voice for children often in very difficult court cases.

Pam was a friend and a Mom to all. If you needed an ear, a dollar or a hug - you got it. Afterwards, she would then proceed to make you a meal whether you wanted it or not. She was a wonderful cook, dancer and karaoke queen. She loved throwing the most perfect parties for friends and family. From seeing her on the cover of Pam's Potato Chips in Portland as a baby to her last days, her smile instantly made you feel welcome and loved, so you couldn't help but smile back. She could tell you the business like no other, snap some sense into you to get you back on track, or to help you make better decisions. Her love for her family knew no bounds. If you met her, even just once - you were instantly family.

Pam is survived by her children Todd (Dawn) Busch of DeKalb and Elizabeth (Michael) Whitehead of Hampshire, Illinois; her beloved grandchildren Mikala, Emma, Tessa, and Olivia Busch; Logan, Maisy, and Gabriel Whitehead; siblings Wayne, Gale, Greg (Lori), and Phil (Jennifer) Karnis; sister-in-law Joan Busch; and many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Erwin Busch Jr. who passed away in 2005 and sister Dawn Crispin.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 39), Geneva, Illinois.

Funeral Prayers will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 9:00 am at Malone Funeral Home proceeding to St. Patrick Catholic Church (downtown), 400 Cedar Street, St. Charles for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Rev. Msgr. Daniel Deutsch, Celebrant.

Interment will follow at St Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
