Murder Victim. Rowan was a 9 year old 4th grade student at Triway Elementary School. The one thing everyone noticed about this sweet little girl was that she was always happy and was always willing to help. Her pastor at the Stella Baptist Church relates that he always came early to church on Sunday to set up. Rowan would always be sitting on the steps to greet him and came early just to see if anyone needed any help. Rowan was a member of the church's Sunday School, Wednesday night Team Kid and Angel Food Ministries. She had just learned to swim over the summer and also learned how to ride a bike. She just loved her blue-tinted Blossom Quest bicycle.

Rowan's favorite color was purple and her favorite television show was Hannah Montana. Her favorite food was spaghetti. Rowan loved to read (especially about cats), sing, to color and draw. Her home roon teacher said "She was a beautiful student...an angel...perfect. She was everybody's friend and I couldn't have asked for a better student"

Rowan went missing from her home in Stella, Missouri and sadly was found dead a week later on November 9, 2007. Rowan is survived by her mother Colleen; two brothers,James and Robert and two sisters Janice and Ariane; also five aunts,Barbara,Joyce,Donna,Alisha and Carletta and two uncles;Harvey and Adam. Her maternal grandparents Robert and Grace predeceased her. Rowan was also the proud aunt of Mackenzie and Shaun.

Her funeral service was held at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Neosho, Missouri officiated by the Rev Glen Ennis and was attended by hundreds of mourners. Rowan's favorite hymn "The Old Rugged Cross" was sung.
