On August 28, 1947 Ruthie Mae Williams was born to the proud parentage of James and Mae Willie Williams.
Ruthie accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Providence Baptist Church, under the late John Westbrook.Ruthie received her formal education at Booker T. Washington high school in Marlin, Texas. She furthered her education in Cosmetology at Ogle Beauty School in Austin Texas and ran her own salon for many years.
Ruthie decided in the latter part of her life to pursue a career in nursing until she retired.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, Mae Willie and James Williams; brothers, Vernon, Curtis, Charles, Harold, James Jr, Edward, and Gene; and sisters, Melba and Annie.
On Saturday August 15, 2020, our Father in Heaven whispered to Ruthie Mae to come home and rest. She willfully fell asleep in the "Arms of Jesus Christ" without hesitation.
Ruthie leaves to cherish her memories her brother, Robert Williams of Oakland, California; her sister, Mary Williams of Dallas Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
