Samuel was the son of Arturo Srand Ana Maria (Chavera) Martinez and brother of Alex, Arnold, Arturo Jr, Michael, Belinda and Cynthia.
He was born in Falfurrias and grew up in Kingsville and lived there until 1990, when him and his family moved to the Seguin area. Sam was employed for 18 years by Tex-Mix Concrete, starting as delivery driver, later promoted to Plant Manager and then to the position of area manager. He liked to go hunting and fishing and BBQing for his family and friends.
Survived by his wife, Yolanda and their children, Georgina, Sam Jr, Jeramy and stepchildren, Enrique, Mariah and Jasiah that he raised as his own and 11 grandchildren.
Burial- May 28, 2021.
