Mrs. Pierce was born September 15, 1948, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the loving daughter of Dillon and Martha Jean Kelly Greenlee. On January 21, 1968, Debra married James R. Pierce; he survives.
Mrs. Pierce graduated from Columbus High School and was the secretary at the Hamilton Boone Madison Special Services Coop of Carmel Clay Schools retiring in 2010 after 32 years of service.
It was very important to Mrs. Pierce to spend time with family, she cherished her grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, James; and daughters, Michelle Pierce (Mark Callahan) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Megan (Adam) Rodriguez of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was Mimi to her four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Savannah, Mason and Enrique. She is also survived by her mother, Martha Jean Greenlee of Columbus; sisters, Brenda Johnson of Columbus and Cindy (Mike) Clark of Columbus; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her father, Dillon Greenlee.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; the Reverend Marcus Speer will officiate.
