James Jones, 67, of Roland passed away August 18, 2019. He was born February 27, 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Edmond and Daisy Jones. James worked as an agent for Landstar Trucking Company for 32 years. Friends knew him as "Pops" at Pops Parking in Hot Springs. He was a member of Mary Williams Masonic Lodge 137 and a 32nd degree Mason.
James was a loving husband and a good provider, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; Whitleigh and Berkley and his fur babies; Gigi and George. His favorite pastimes were family, fishing, and football with his sports advising nephew; Eric.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edmond Jones.
James is survived by his loving wife of 19 years; Cindy, daughter; Tammy Hoover (Ray), two grandchildren; mother; Daisy, siblings; Larry Jones, Bud Jones (Betty), Linda Gravitt (Danny) and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway. Graveside services will follow 1 pm, Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Hand Cemetery in Jordan, Arkansas.
