Susan Elizabeth Martin, 65, of Princeton died Monday, May 24, 2021, at her residence. Born July 13, 1955, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Andy Martin and Elizabeth W. Martin. Susan was a graduate of Matoaka High School, a 1977 Graduate of Glenville State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Driver's Education, and a 1985 graduate of West Virginia University Graduate College with a Master's Degree in Education. She retired after 35 years of service as a teacher with the Mercer County School System. Susan began her teaching career at Matoaka and Spanishburg, and last taught at Princeton Senior High School. She loved teaching and her students loved and respected her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one aunt, Dorothy Hubbard. Survivors include special friend of 27 years, Ellen Miller of Winston Salem, NC; three cousins, Anna Lee Bolton and husband Gale, Mary Lellen Dishner and husband Oscar, and David Hubbard and wife Joy all of Princeton; and several cousins, extended family, special friends, and former students. She will be cremated and entombed with her mother at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton at a later date.
