She is survived by: a daughter, Becky Claar (Odell); three grandchildren: Benjamin Long (Karli), Shelsa Miller, and Lakken Claar; 7 great-grandchildren: Addison and Amelia Long, Naomi, Blair and Arianna Miller, and Cataleya and Z'Aira Claar; 6 siblings: Sandra McGee, Ralph Brown (Judy), Ed Brown (Donna), Ronald Brown (Vera), Richard Brown (Beverly), and James Brown (Marlene); sisters and brothers-in-laws: Sandy Brown, Adeline Beck (Raymond), George Sharp (Emily), Betty Schaefer (Ray), and Linda Whitesel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: an infant son, Michael David: a sister, Joanne Hite-Bailey; and a brother, Albert "Junie" Brown.
Dorothy was a 1958 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. She retired from NAPA Distribution Center – Altoona, after 30 plus years of service. She was a long-time member of Heidelberg Country Club. Dot enjoyed bowling and spending time with her grandchildren and family, and hanging out with all her great friends in "the gang".
Friends will be received on Tues., June 1, 2021 from 4-8pm and on Wed., June 2, from 10am until the 11am funeral service, officiated by Pastor Bruce Knorpp, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
