UPTON, Phillip Robert "Bob" Age 80, of Gladstone, MI, formerly of Germantown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba, MI. Bob was born October 13, 1927 in Loveland, Ohio to Frank and Flora (Evans)Upton. He was united in marriage to Jeannine Macy on January 10, 1948 in Germantown, Ohio. Bob served his country proudly with the Army of Occupation in Japan during World War II while he was in the United States Army. Bob worked in plant security and safety at General Motors for several years and enjoyed his home, the outdoors, fishing, laughing and playing jokes. He loved his family and cherished the time they spent together.
He will be dearly missed. Including his wife of 60 years, Jeannine, Bob is survived by: His 2 Sons: Steve (Gail) Upton, Bernie (Lynn) Upton; His Daughter: Becky (John) Magoto; 5 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Mary (Billy) Shumway; Sister-in-law: Doris Vorraso; Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
