Mark Alin Franklin, age 50 of Elizabethtown, KY passed away in Louisville, KY on May 26, 2021. He was born on October 6, 1970 in Louisville, KY son of the late Steven and Brenda Amy Dowell Franklin.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Keith Franklin, and sister, Tina Raley Troxell.

Mark was a MCHS graduate; loved fishing and hunting; cooking; telling jokes and being funny; loved his family; people who knew him loved him; he would give you the shirt off his back; and was a BIG U of L Fan.

He is survived by his son, Steven J. (Lindsay Simmons) Franklin of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Emily (Jesse Farris) Franklin of Cloverport and Elizabeth (Mackenzie Sonntag) Franklin of Somerset; sister, Lisa Childress of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Taylor & Kylie Farris; nieces and nephews, Josh Raley, Sara Ashley, Andrea Childress, Megan Childress, and Tiffany Troxell; and 6 great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 from 4-8:00 P.M. EDT at the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, KY, and Saturday from 9-12:00 P.M. EDT Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 12 Noon EDT, Rev. David Buckham officiating and burial to follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
