Herman J. "Tommy" Thompson, Passed peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 12, 2021 in Brownwood, Texas. He was born to Lela Mae and Martin "Red" Thompson in Paint Rock, TX and grew up in Brownwood working for Western Union and was the fastest runner at Woodland Middle School.

Tommy proudly served 20+ years in the U.S. Army including serving in the Korean War. Upon retirement from the Army, he worked for the Veterans Administration in Austin, Texas. He finally retired to his home near Lake Brownwood indulging in his love of History and Golf.

During his time in the Army, he married Geraldine McDaniel and had 2 daughters, Betty Mae (deceased) and Diana. During his time at the Veterans Administration married his second wife, Monena Osborn and embraced his additional family. Tommy loved to travel and has been to several places around the world. Tommy loved to garden and tell stories of his family.

He is remembered by his children Diana Myers, Mona Walker, Debby Osborn, Tina Frost, Steve Osborn, and Michael Osborn (deceased) as well as 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 Great-great Grandchildren.

Visitation Service will be held Sunday, May 16th 2021, from 4pm to 6pm at Heartland Funeral Service, 303 Early Boulevard, Early, TX 76802. Funeral Services will also be held at Heartland On Monday, May 17th, 2021 at 10am.
