Neva Lorraine Boyd (1926-2021), Neva was born in Salida, CA to Arthur and Iva Bauman on February 15th, 1926. She passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 25, 2021 at Bethany Home in Ripon, CA. She spent part of her childhood in Jamestown. Later, the family moved to Modesto, where she graduated from Modesto High School in 1943.

She loved being together with friends from church and enjoyed going to singings, Yosemite, the beach and Sunday drives in the mountains. As a teenager Neva realized her need of a Savior and accepted Jesus into her heart.

Later, on Sep 19, 1943, she was baptized and served Him faithfully the remainder of her life. She started dating Warren Boyd in 1944 and they were married on October 20, 1945. God blessed them with five children and 56 years of marriage, until Warren's passing in 2001. One of the greatest joys in Neva's life was faithfully and unselfishly serving her husband and children. She had a genuine gift of hospitality and hosted people from every walk of life with her delicious meals. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, Bible studies, conferences at Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center, making memory photo albums and traveling in the U.S. and overseas to visit their children and grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Gary and Becky Boyd, Dennis and Cathy Boyd, Annette and Jim King, John and Keriann Boyd, and Mike and Kim Boyd, as well as: 20 grandchildren (1 deceased), 50 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. She is survived by her sister-in-law Emily Bauman and many cousins, nieces and nephews. We wish to thank all those from Bethany home for their loving care for Mom the last two years, and all who faithfully lifted her up in prayer. A viewing and graveside service will be held at Wood Colony Cemetery, Modesto, Sunday June 6th, 2021 at 3:00 pm.
