She is survived by her son Bruce Foster and his wife Patty and twin daughters, Ariel Montgomery, and Anne Kay. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Martha brought joy to all who knew her with her sweet smile and gentle soul.
She and John traveled the world during his career as a geophysicist and in retirement. Their marriage began during the dust bowl years in West Texas, and they weathered the Depression plus two world wars. Fortunately, they spent John's later career in London and Norway. They traveled extensively with family and their Houston friends to Australia, New Zealand, India, China, Africa, South America, Scandinavia, and Europe.
She and John will be inurned at Memorial Drive Methodist Church in a small gathering in the fall.
