LILA REBECCA YOUNG LONG age 94, of Roxboro, NC died Monday afternoon, November 9, 2015 at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Long was born in Person County, NC, to the late Ira Cleveland & Annie Orenda Little Young and was wife of 50 years to the late Jessie Louis Long. She was retired from Collins & Aikman Corp. after 43 years of service and was a lifelong member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.

Lila was a loyal friend to everyone. In her quiet and humble way, she helped care for all of the people closest to her. She always put everyone else’s needs before her own and loved to work and stay busy. She accepted losing her independence with grace and will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed challenging her sharp wit skills with anyone and delighted in always getting the last word. Her joy in life was helping others and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to thank her loving friends for their support and Dr. Thomas Long, Sr. and his nurse Faye Solomon. Member#330074382
