Timothy was the son of Rev. Timothy Lee Wood Sr and Vivian Jenkins Wood. He was a lifelong resident of Hebron, Connecticut and Manchester, Connecticut until relocating to Georgia in 2012 to be close to his parents. He was a Class of 1987 graduate of RHAM High School in Hebron Connecticut. He was employed with JC Penny in Connecticut for more than 20 years. After moving to Georgia, he was employed with the City of Warner Robins Utility Department for 12 years. He joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Hartford, Connecticut and was baptized at an early age. After moving to Georgia, he joined New Hope Baptist Church in Perry, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Dennis Harden where he served on the Security Ministry.
Tim was legally blind, though not many people knew it. His favorite television shows were The Honeymooners and The Three Stooges. He was a collector of all things Star Wars and considered himself an athority about all of the movies in the series.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jimmie Wood and Bernice Keaton Wood and his maternal grandparents, James Jenkins and Mattie L. Williams Jenkins.

Graveside services were held Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 11AM in the Wood Lawn Cemetery in Perry, Georgia.
