Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, in Mill Creek.

Jackie was born on May 23, 1968, in Morehead City. She was the daughter of Gracie Garner and the late Jack Garner. She grew up in Mill Creek amongst an abundance of family and friends and attended Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. Jackie graduated from West Carteret in 1986, where she was a member of West Carteret Singers and very active in the FFA Club. She was a long-time resident of the Charlotte/Fort Mill area where she enjoyed raising her kids and teaching preschool.

Jackie was perpetually optimistic, even during her long battle with cancer. She had a keen sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Her unshakeable faith allowed her to truly live in and appreciate the present moment.

Jackie is survived by three children, who were her pride and joy, son and daughter-in-law, Hans and PJ Christensen; son and fiancée, Thomas Christensen and Rachel Smokonich; and daughter, Hannah Christensen.

She is also survived by her mother, Gracie Garner; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and David Knox; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Denise Garner; many nieces and nephews, a grandniece and grandnephews, and a foster grandchild who she absolutely adored.
