Lou Ann Thompson Tabor, 79, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 12:39 P.M. at Parkway Manor in Marion.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 21, 2017, Maplewood Cemetery in Marion with Pastor Shara Robinson officiating. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Lou Ann was born on October 21, 1937 in West Frankfort the daughter of Charles William and Hazel Marie (Elliott) Hafeli. She first married Harry Thompson who preceded her in death. She later married Clarence Tabor who preceded her in death.

She worked as an LPN at Herrin and Carbondale Hospitals and she worked at a doctor's office in Ft. Meyers, FL. She attended the First Church of God in Marion.

She is survived by one son, Chris Thompson; one brother, Chuck Hafeli and wife Andrea; nephews, Lance and wife Kathy, Brett and wife Karen, and Scott and wife Kyla; one niece, Heather Richards.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
