After a long fulfilling life Samuel Andrew Teague, son of the late Claude Teague, and the late Minnie Teague departed this world on May 26, 2021.

Sam joined the Army in 1964. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, and served as a Special Forces Paratrooper during the war. He enjoyed a long military career retiring after 25 years of service to our country. He then worked as a military contractor at Ft. Hood, TX until he became disabled.

Sam had a very outgoing personality, was extremely giving, and was beloved by family and friends. He spent the last two years of his life at Copperas Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Copperas Cove, TX where he was quite the social butterfly. The staff told his family it will not be the same without him.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents Claude Teague, and Minnie Teague, and his sister Lila Marie Wade.

He leaves behind a loving family including his stepchildren Karl Rigmaiden, Jacqueline Rigmaiden, Billy (Reggie) Rigmaiden (Letitia), and Minika Rigmaiden-Carver. Nephews Andrew Teague, James Wade, and Anthony Wade, his loving aunt Mary Myres whom he called Mama, special friend Sherry Frame, and several great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Sam's Tennessee family would like to express a special thank you to his son Reggie, daughter in law Letitia and grandson Malik for taking such good care of Sam during his illness. We are forever grateful for your love and support.

A graveside service will be Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm (EST) at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with pastor Gregory Ludy officiating, and with military honors.
