Steve Wright passed from this world on May 27, 2021; he is survived by his wife Wanda of Mustang, Oklahoma. Steve was born on October 12, 1942 to Kyle and Ruth (Salyer) Wright in Bray, Oklahoma. He was the fifth of six children born to Kyle and Ruth. All preceded Steve in death.

Steve grew up in the family grocery store business. They owned many grocery stores throughout small towns in Oklahoma. Steve, along with his father, owned Wright's Grocery & Hardware in Union City. Steve was the owner/operator for many years. He later went into the oil and gas industry retiring in 2020.

Steve was a lifetime athlete and enjoyed all sports. He excelled at baseball and basketball in his youth. Later in life, Steve was active in the senior softball leagues. His team went to the Senior World Series five years in a row winning twice. Going to his children's, grandchildren's, great grandchildren's, and great-great grandchildren's ballgames was his favorite hobby.

On June 9th, 1961 Steve married Rebecca Morrison. From their marriage two children were born: Stephanie Rae (Wright) Allen and James Bradley Wright (deceased). Surviving are Stephanie of El Reno, Brenda Wright (wife of Brad) of Mustang, and three grandchildren.

Later Steve met Wanda, the love of his life, and they were married on February 13, 1993. From this marriage Steve gained five more children: Cliff, Berta, Mike, Phil and Freddy. He also gained 7 grandchildren, 14 great children, 4 great-great grandchildren and one on the way.

Steve's family is a big, beautiful, blended family. His influence and love included everybody. In lieu of flowers we suggest donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
