Mr. Bailey was employed at Michelin Manufacturing and a member of Crossway Church. He loved baseball, traveling and the children at church loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Myrtle Suttles Bailey; daughter, Melissa Bailey of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Doyle Bailey of Laurens, SC, Donald Bailey (Dena) and Stephen Bailey (Chris) all of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Joan Hawkins (Dickey) of Lake Greenwood, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Ruby, Toni and Betty, and brothers, Floyd and Frank.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 28307, with funeral services following at 2:30 PM in the Chapel conducted by The Rev. Kevin Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
