Galena Man Found
Dead in His Bed

GALENA, Kan.-Tone F. Bankson, 63 years old, was found dead in bed at his home, 513 East Seventh street, at 6:30 o'clock this morning by his daughter, Phyllis Bankson.

Coroner Victor Winter said death resulted from a heart attack and set the time of death at 5 a.m. No inquest will be held.

Mr. Bankson had been in ill health a year. He was born in Galena and had resided here all his life. He was a retired miner and was a member of the Christian church.

Surviving are two sons, John Bankson of Compton, Calif., and Tone Bankson, Jr., of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Mable Miller of Torrance, Calif., Mrs. Anna Price of Lawndale, Calif., Mrs. Grace Rudd of Seneca, Mo., Mrs. Bernice Cooper of Madera, Calif., Mrs. Jenell Lansaw of Joplin and Phyllis Bankson of the home; a brother, James Bankson of Galena; a sister, Mrs. Delta Byum of Galena, and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral plans will be announced by the Derfelt Funeral home.

Bankson Funeral

GALENA, Kan.-Funeral services for Tone F. Bankson, 63 years old, who died Thursday morning, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the First Christian church. The Rev. Floyd Cole of Carl Junction and the Rev. Charles Gibson of Galena will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Crest cemetery under direction of the Derfelt funeral home.

The body will be taken to the home, 513 East Seventh Street, at noon Sunday to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Roy Jackson, George Wallace, Harry Keelin, Harvey Jenkins, Dave Price and Delos Neeley.
