WATERLOO - Cynthia Ann Meyer, 42, of Waynesboro, Va, formerly of Waterloo, died at home Friday, April 22, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Sept 27, 1962, in Waterloo, daughter of James and maternal mother, Darcey Gaede Caldwell She married Jim L Meyer on Feb. 17, 1981.

Mrs. Meyer was a 1981 graduate of East High School in Waterloo and moved to Waynesboro, Va, in 1994. Over the years in Waynesboro, she worked part time at Kmart, FR Drake Co. and Holiday Inn Express. She attended Bethany Lutheran Church where she volunteered as a financial secretary and was active with the youth group in the late 1990s.

Survivors include, her father; her mother, Linda Caldwell; her husband of 24 years; a son, Nathan L Meyer, born in Iowa City; two daughters, Amanda M. Meyer and Nicole A. Meyer, both born in Waterloo; and five sisters, Lanette Jones , Jolene Cole, Renne Gerst Karen West and Kim Mehmen.

Preceded in death by: her maternal mother; and a son, Robert J. Meyer on Feb. 27, 1984, in Waterloo.

Memorial services: 11 am Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Timothy Bohlmann officiating followed by an 11 am memorial service April 30 at Grace Lutheran Church 1024 W Eighth St, Waterloo. Private burial will be at a later date. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m Monday at Reynolds Funeral Service, Waynesboro.
