Evelyn worked until she was 72 years old when she retired from running the accounts payable for a group of nine nursing homes in Florida. She enjoyed playing cards, college football (especially Ohio State) and pro football (especially Tampa Bay Bucs) and playing Bingo. Her biggest love was the PGA Tour and Tiger Woods.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, John Wheeler; sons, Dan Wheeler (Jane) and Ron Wheeler (Patricia); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by son, Michael Wheeler; father, Math Snyder and mother, Minnie (Rutten) Snyder; sister, Millie Dion; brothers, Leonard, Marvin and Rudell Snyder.
She will be laid to rest privately at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana. Little and Sons Funeral Home, Indianapolis was entrusted with arrangements.
