Born May 5, 1957, in McDowell County, he was the son of the late Herbert Jackson and Johnsie Rutherford Jackson.
Educated in the public schools of McDowell County, Mr. Jackson attended Winston-Salem State University.
A member of Sandy Ridge AME Zion Church, Landis, he was active with the Men's Booster Ministry, Norris Reid Men's Choir, Gospel Choir, and life patron in the Life Members Council.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Fidelina Wilson Jackson of the home; children, the Rev. Terry L. Jackson Jr. (Amelia) of Landis, and Maggie Jackson Propst (Gerry) of China Grove; brothers, the Rev. John A. Jackson (Hazel) and James H. Jackson (Tanya) of Winston-Salem; sister, Melvolyn Borders (Jonothan) of Charlotte; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
