Mr. James "Doyle" Moody, age 77, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. He was born in Glennville on August 8, 1943 to Will and Willie Gordon Moody and had lived in Long and Tattnall Counties most of his life. He had retired from the City of Ludowici after 25 years of service. In his free time, Doyle enjoyed going fishing and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings, Iona Carr, Mickey Moody, Velma King, and Frances Gordon.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mrs. Sherry Lynn Moody of Glennville; foster daughter, Jamie Frazier of Jesup; step daughter, Delilah Bryant of Glennville; sister, Doris Morgan of Ludowici; 3 step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm. A private family interment will be in the Glennville Memorial Gardens.
