Alfred "Pete" Kinzbach was born in Houston, Texas, the son of Charles Kinzbach Sr. of Germany, and Annie Jensen Sorenson Kinzbach, who was born in Norway.
Alfred worked as an assistant machinist in the Southern Pacific shops in Houston, before moving to Hardin County Texas where he went to work for an oil pipeline company. He had a long career as a machinist in the oil industry.
He married Katie Turner in 1907. They had four children, three daughters: Donnie Alfrieda, Mamie, and Lena Francis, and one son, William Charles Kinzbach.
The Alfred Kinzbach family lived in Sour Lake, Nacogdoches (in 1944), and in Carthage, Texas.
