Star - Paul Emmanuel Singleton, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham.
Mr. Singleton was born in Montgomery County on March 16, 1944, to Edgar Harrison and Lena Mae Hancock Singleton.
He was a retired furniture worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Evangeline Williams.
He is survived by his son, Stephen P. Singleton of Seagrove; daughter, Angeline Freeman of Star; grandchildren, Gabriel Hurley, Michael Hurley, Rebekah Bouchillon, Cheyenne Freeman, and Niki Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Brenya Bailey and Harper Rose Bouchillon.
Mr. Singleton's body will lie in repose from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, at Phillips Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Rex and Linda Knight officiating.
