Daughter of Anna Eva Knechtel and Johann Adam Seegmiller.

There is no marriage record for Amelia. Her death was telegraphed by her brother, William, to her brother Daniel in 1871.

Her death record and all cemetery records list her surname as Seegmiller. Her birth/death year and the designation "Sister of Wm. H. Seegmiller" is inscribed on a family stone.

As was a common custom of the time, she was vicariously "sealed" on 16 November 1887 at the Logan LDS Temple to one, "Thomas Jordan Stevens".
