Norvin Francis Green, Jr., 89, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was born on August 24, 1931 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

He was a graduate of Kentucky Military Institute and the University of Louisville, a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Norvin joined his father at Kentucky Balfour at a young age and it became his career. He married his college sweetheart, Mary Lee Jones in 1959. After college, he became a pilot in the Air Force, serving as a 1st Lieutenant until 1970. His long and well lived life included many passions including raising four children, family cookouts and all afternoon neighborhood tennis parties, water and snow skiing. He loved his career and was fortunate to share some of it working with both of his daughters. He saved most summer weekends for family boat trips to any lake he could find spent it water skiing with the kids, site seeing or visiting friends who lived on the waterfront. Many years of Wednesday lunches were reserved for lifelong fraternity brothers and friends like Norwood, Flash, CIiffy, Bobby, Jack and many others. Traveling to Florida every year for family vacations, he and Mary Lee developed a love for the Gulf where they spent as much time as possible over the last 25 years.
The last few years, Norvin was able to see and enjoy time with each of the kids and their families.

A special thank you to Ashlea, Sal, Matthew and Lyric for their companionship and care of Norvin.

Norvin is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee, his parents, Norvin F and Nettie Green, Sr., his sister Polly (Walter) Clapp, and daughter, Lee Anne.

He is survived by his children David Green (Carolyn), Dan Green (Lynette), Diane Green Pschigoda (Phil), six grandchildren, David Francis Green, Kara Savage Biery (Grant), John Pschigoda, Emily Green, Matthew Pschigoda and Lucy Green and three great grandchildren, Harper, Domi and Davy.

Visitation will be held at Highlands Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 2nd from 3pm to 8pm, located at 3331 Taylorsville Road 40205. A funeral celebration will be held at the Highland's Chapel on Thursday, June 3rd at 11:00 am with a graveside service afterwards.
