Edward P. Kennedy, Sr., 85 of Glen Burnie passed away on May 25, 2021. Ed was born on September 21, 1935 in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late Philip and Sarah Kennedy. Ed served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Westinghouse as a Human Resources Manager. He enjoyed playing golf, politics and especially spending time with his family. Ed, "Pop" cared unceasingly for his wife, Peggy, for the past 15 years as she struggled with dementia, while he suffered with his own life limiting illnesses. He gave every bit of his time, treasure and heart caring for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marguerite M. Kennedy; his children, Edward Kennedy, Jr. and Karen Strecker (John); his grandchildren, Justin Kennedy (Jackie), Emily Kamal (Maen), Jason Strecker, Matthew Kennedy; and his step great-granddaughter, Ashley Pawliske; He was preceded in death by his sisters, Rita Kane and Mary Kashner and his brother and hero, Philip Kennedy.



The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, June 3rd from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 3rd at 6:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be on Friday, June 4th at 1 PM.
