John Henry Bearden, Jr., 72, of Tifton passed away, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. W. E. Fogarty officiating. Mr. Bearden was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.

Kevin Pearson, Colby Garren, Andy Deanda, Rusty Garren, Ryan Dotson and Justin Hall will serve as pallbearers.

Born April 29, 1949 in Tifton, Mr. Bearden was the son of the late John Henry Bearden, Sr. and Margie Blanchard Bearden. He was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Michael Bearden; and two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Durden and Skylar Durden. He was a retired electrician and served in Vietnam in the United States Army.

Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife, Brenda Hayes Bearden of Tifton; three daughters, Bobbie Jean Garren, Jessica (Calvin) Smith and Malinda Bearden (Ray Prince), all of Tifton; five grandchildren, David Durden, Lacoln (Josh) Thompson, Colby Garren, Mikaela Smith and Riley Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Ava Durden, Brodie Thompson and Reese Garren.

Bowen Donaldson Home For Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
