Mary was a member of the Arlington Road Church of Christ and a native of Hopewell, VA. She was a humble, family loving woman. The care given to her during her illness did not go unnoticed.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Julius Patrick; three sisters, Ruby Patrick, Elsie Patrick Timmons, and Delores Patrick Lane; five brothers, Irvin, Linwood, Clyde, Major, and Michael Patrick; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Mary Jane leaves precious memories to be cherished by her devoted and loving son, Todd Patrick of Hopewell, VA; son, Deric Patrick of California; daughter, Michelle Wells (Jeff) of Chester, VA; three loving grandchildren, RuSean Wells (Cloreese), Mahogany Wells, and Diesha Taylor; five great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Shawnrese Wells, Jayvonna Wells, Jaheim Wells, Semaj Spain, and Imani Ulmer (her little hairdresser); sister, Patricia Harrison (Archie), who is the last sibling of 10 of Hopewell, VA; sister-in-law, Cindy Patrick of Richmond, VA; devoted niece, Nicole Patrick of Hopewell, VA; two devoted family friends that were with the family from the beginning and were treated like her own, Kevin Winfield and Kinzo Evans (Rev. Lydia) both of Petersburg, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Lydia Evans, eulogist. The interment to follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
