Janet K. Miles, 71, of Findlay passed away at the Bridge Hospice Care Center on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. She was born on Dec. 2, 1949 to the late Carl Ray and Thelma Marie (Cramner) Gatchell. She married George P. Miles on Dec. 29, 1972 and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1998. She is survived by two sisters, Betty (Richard) Steiff and Mary Wickham; brothers, Donald Gatchell, Kenneth (Kelly) Gatchell and Larry Gatchell; a son, Christopher (Dawn) Johnson and a grandson, Zach Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a son, John P. Miles and a half-sister, Jeanette Scott.
She was a 1969 graduate of Arlington High School, she graduated from the Ohio State Beauty Academy and worked as a stylist at Fiesta Hair Salon for five years.
She loved doing her embroidery and being with the horses when her son, John was involved. She loved any kind of flower and every year, she would plant lots of them in her yard. Janet always told anyone that she would rather be outside planting flowers or making the yard look nice than being inside doing housework, then she would give you a little smirk and laugh about it. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to the American Diabetic Association or to Bridge Hospice.
