Passed away with her family at her side on Monday, September 10th at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 82. Dearly loved mother of Paula Clark and Russ (Chris) Clark. Cherished grandmother of Tiffany and Ashley and sister of Patrick (Irene) Rienzo of Welland, Daniel (Brenda) Rienzo of Duncan, BC and predeceased by sisters Penny Carrothers, June Kopp and Beatrice Norton. Survived by her sister-in-law Olive Royston and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends for her homemade buns, cookies and chocolate cake. Predeceased by her children's father, Robert (Bob) Clark. She attended Niagara College at the age of 52 and became a health care aide at Oakwood Park Lodge where she worked until her retirement. Jennie always had a joke to tell and a smile on her face for everyone she met. She was well known for her positive attitude facing life's many challenges with both courage and humour. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr Dec and his staff whom she adored and to the GNGH nurses of Unit C for their compassionate care of our mother.
At Jennie's request cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street on Thursday, September 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00 at Our Lady of the Scapular Church, 6557 Thorold Stone Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
