Mr. Douglas McArthur "Mac" Wright, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the local hospital. He was born May 24, 1951 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death his father Sydney Wright, mother and step father, Doris and Glen Varner, brother, Rual Wright. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jade and Dustin Bates of Helen, GA; grandson, Adam Bates; two nephews, one nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Douglas McArthur "Mac" Wright will be held Friday May 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the West Hill Cemetery. American Legion Post 112 will be in charge of Military Rites.
