Guy Reuben Carter was born November 15,1967, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Jesse and Stacia (Pinner) Carter. He was the youngest of two children. Guy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Guy attended Springmill and Skiles Test elementary schools. As a teen, Guy moved to Denver to live with his father and graduated from George Washington High School in Denver, Colorado.

In May 1989 Guy enlisted in the United States Army. While serving our country in Operation Desert Storm, he received several awards and achievements which included: (the) Army Achievement Medal; Good Conduct Medal; Army Commendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Southwest Asia Service Medal; two (2) Service Stars, Army Service Ribbon, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal, just to name a few. Guy earned an Honorably Discharge in June of 1993.

Guy returned to Indianapolis in 1993. He was a multi-skilled man of many talents. He was a certified forklift driver until he decided to pursue his passion of cooking, which led him to a career at Thomas Catering.

Guy married Torrie, the love of his life, on October 2, 2000. Together they raised three children: Marie Watts (DJ Watts), Evan Carter Manley, and Mya Carter.

Guy's pastimes included cooking and barbequing for his family. He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and playing the keyboard and drums. Guy was an avid tennis player and bike rider. He enjoyed watching TV and movies. He was very laid back, and yet funny. Guy loved the Lord and spent time in prayer with his wife. He was a loyal friend and always made time to check up on the ones for whom he cared.

Guy departed this earthly life on May 19, 2021.He joins other loved ones who include his beloved grandfather, Jesse L. Carter, II, and grandmothers, Gladys Pinner Drennan and Betty L. Taylor.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his wife, Torrie Carter; three children, Marie Watts (DJ Watts), Evan Carter Manley, and Mya Carter; one grandchild, Danyelle Watts; his parents, Jesse L. Carter, III and Stacia Carter; two siblings, D. Reeves Carter (Karla Olivier) and Crandle Burgess (Becky Burgess); grandmother, Tae Carter.
