Teddlie Jo Beaver Everett died on March 16, 2021, in her home in Scottsdale. She was 62 years old. She was born August 10, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, the fourth and youngest child of Church of Christ minister Norman Beaver and Dorothy Crawford Beaver. She was named after the prominent hymn writer Tillit S. Teddlie, a family friend. She grew up in Irving, Texas, and attended Irving High School. Following the 2004 death of her father, whom she cared for in his final illness, she moved to the Phoenix area. Initially, she trained as a barber and hair stylist and worked in that field and volunteered at the Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA) women's shelter, giving haircuts. She then worked for Tungland Corporation as a manager for adult-care group homes. More recently, she served in Scottsdale as Support Coordinator for the Division of Developmental Disabilities, of the Phoenix office of the Arizona Department of Economic Security, supervising care and services for disabled persons.

Teddlie had an effervescent personality, a deeply loving and generous soul, and a razor-sharp wit. She was adored by her family, her many friends, and by the scores of people she served in her work. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons Samson Everett and Jacob Everett, both of Scottsdale, by her brother Jim Beaver of Hollywood, California, and her sisters Denise Beaver of Scottsdale and Renee Blum of Stillwater, Minnesota. She also leaves behind her granddaughter Lily and nieces Wendy Stanley of La Jolla, California, Amy Schwab of Mount Hope, Wisconsin, and Madeline Beaver of New York City, as well as grand-niece Zane Stanley and grand-nephew Duke Scherf.

A memorial celebration of Teddlie's life will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Pinnacle Peak Country Club, 8701 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale AZ 85255, with interment at 12 noon at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Boulevard, Scottsdale 85260.
