Karen Clark was born on March 18, 1948 in Fitchburg, Mass. She joined her loved ones in heaven on May 7, 2021.
Her father was Patrick Crown a Pharmacist Mate on the USS Ticonderoga in WW2. Her mother was Pauline Murray a textile mill worker. Karen lost her father at a very young age and was raised by her mom and Nana, Mary Murray. Around 1962 she moved to California with her mom and sister Mary. She attended High School at Wilcox in Santa Clara. She met Ed her life long friend and husband of 55 years on a School outing to Sunset Beach and life changed for the better for both of them. In 1964 she moved back to Fitchburg and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1966. A few weeks later she flew to California where Ed and her were married on Jun 25 1966 at St Lawrence Catholic Church.
As a young married couple they struggled to make ends meet as they both were from very poor families. They raised two sons starting in 1967 Mike and in 1970 Shawn. Karen and Ed both attended College at night obtaining their degrees while working. Karen received an AA, BA from San Jose State and a Masters Degree from Santa Clara University. Her career as a Licensed Counselor Therapist, LMFCC, was highly successful and utilized frequently in her employment as a Deputy Probation Officer for Santa Clara County.. She also worked for the City of Campbell Police Department and provided many volunteer counseling sessions for the VA Vietnam Veterans Center and many other organizations.
Most of all Karen loved her Irish Heritage and visited Ireland and Northern Ireland many times. This is for her. tiocfaidh ar la.
Karen leaves behind her husband Ed, sons Mike and Shawn and their families, and 6 grandchildren , cousins Jack and Barbara Murray, sister Mary and family, and many friends.
Karen will always be in our hearts and souls as we loved her very very much.
