Mrs. Geraldine Jones, 74 of Mt. Vernon passed from this life on Monday, May 24, 2021 at her home. She was born in Cartersville, KY on January 4, 1948 the daughter of Ernest and Nancy Jane Hall Collett. She had been a hairdresser and cosmetologist for over 40 years and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Jones; a son, Danny Jones and wife Becky of Frankfort; a daughter, Jennifer Terry and husband Brian of Mason, OH; and a sister, Brenda Koch of Indiana. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Collett; and a sister, Ernestine King.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be conducted Sunday, May 30 at 2:00 PM at Dowell & Martin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memorial Cemetery.
