Charles F. Fowler, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed from this life on May 25, 2021, Hattiesburg, MS.

Charles was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on July 20, 1937. He was married for 53 years to the late Mary Penton Fowler, of Picayune, MS. Charles' diverse life history included serving his country in the U.S. Navy, graduation from diving school to work as a diver, and retiring from Mississippi Space Services as a welder in 2000.

He was an avid relic hunter and enjoyed historical research as well as finding artifacts and memorabilia with his metal detectors. He was also a poet, and in recent years, he became a published author.

Charles was a long-standing member of Westlawn Baptist Church in Picayune, Mississippi where he and his family attended faithfully for many years.

He is survived by three children: Barry Fowler (April), Lisa Jenkins (Stan), and Gina Speirs (David); three grandchildren: Dart Spiers, Samantha Spiers, and Ben Fowler.
