Leslie Anne (Wheat) Griffin passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the age of 62 years.

Leslie was the daughter of Mildred Josephine 'Josi' Hall and James Buck 'J. B.' Wheat, born on August 20, 1958, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was brought up by her Granny across from the Mekusukey Mission and graduated Bowlegs High School in 1976. She lived all her adult life in Oklahoma, in Seminole, before moving in 1985 to Holdenville, her home for the past thirty-six years.

Leslie married Roy Griffin on October 31, 1981 in the First Baptist Church in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. She worked for Nichols Dollar Saver for several years as "#1 all around". She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking for her family, playing games with her family, traveling with her husband and children, and taking lots and lots of pictures. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Josephine 'Josi' Hall and James Buck 'J. B.' Wheat.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Roy, and two children, Travis and Robin, all of the home; one brother, Mike Knizek (Teddy) of Leitha, and five sisters: Glenda Ford (Doug) of Seminole, Diana Smith (Barry) of Georgia, Edwana 'Snookie' Gayler (Kenneth) of Wewoka, Alene Wheat, and Janie Wheat, both of Shawnee; two brothers-in-law, Gary Griffin and Kevin Griffin (Lisa), all of Seminole; five nieces: Kim Lemmings (John) of Seminole, Angie Crump (Curtis) of Georgia, Ava Petrimoulx (Bob) of Alabama, Kim Word of Holdenville, and Gena Griffin of Seminole; five nephews: Mike Knizek (Tammy) of Seminole, Arlis Ford (Kesha) of Texas, Kenneth 'Kenny' Gayler of Wewoka, Jeremiah Gayler of Colcord, and Eddie Griffin (Kelli) of Holdenville; numerous cousins, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends whom she loved dearly.

Graveside services will be held and Leslie will be laid to rest at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021, with Rev. Larry Chesser officiating. Pallbearers are John Lemmings, Mike Knizek, Dennis Beckett, Dwight Beckett, John Phillips, and Eddie Griffin. Honorary pallbearers are Torrin Griffin, Steve Branscum, Jeff Dingee, Kevin Griffin, Gary Griffin, Dustin Beckett, and Derwood Beckett. Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.
