Born on December 19, 1967 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Buck Martin of Landis and Nikki Williams Harrington of Kannapolis.
Daniel was a lifelong resident of Kannapolis. He was a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School, where he wrestled and played football. Daniel was also a graduate of West Lenoir Baptist School of Ministry, with an associate degree in Divinity. He enjoyed playing and coaching football, and singing in the church choir.
Daniel assisted with the Youth Ministries at Central Baptist Church, and then Phaniels Baptist Church. He worked as a financial manager for a family business. Daniel was also employed as an Insurance agent and assistant Field House Manager for the Kannapolis Intimidators Baseball team.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorrie Perry Martin, and two sisters, Mitzi Delayne Martin (Find a Grave 127560548) and Bridgett Martin Parker.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons, Isaac Martin, Elijah Martin, and Aaron Gilbert, and his daughter, Elisabeth Martin.
The funeral service was held on May 19, 2021 at Landis Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Austin and Rev. Jim Grigg officiating. Burial followed at West Lawn Memorial Park.
