Funeral Services will be 9:00am, Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Raymond Stanley Brozo was born on February 28, 1931 in Montague, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph and Katherine (Matusko) Brozo. He was a 1948 graduate of Turners Falls High School. He later enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1948-1952. While in the service he met Juan-Nita S. Benkufsky, who also was in the Navy. They were married on May 13, 1951 in Quonset Point, Road Island; she passed away June 18, 2001. He later married Betty (Dahl) in 2004; she died January 2, 2019
Ray was a manager of Target from 1964-1978. He later was employed with the Clinton Police Department as a records clerk from 1978 until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, swimming, and baking.
Ray is survived by his children: Ramon (Fran) Brozo of Pillager, Minnesota, Larry Brozo of Circle Pines, Minnesota, Mary (Tim) Kelly of Raymond, Nebraska, Joe (Paula) Brozo of Charlotte, Iowa, Steve (Robyn) Brozo of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Stan (Lori) Brozo of Sweetster, Indiana, and Sue (Randy) Faber of Rochelle, Illinois; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, a son: Thomas, two brothers, and two sisters.
