Anne Claire was the third of five children born to Dr. Donald and Mary Erickson. Her paternal grandfather Peder Erikson was born in Hedmark, Norway and came to America in 1881 with his parents and older two siblings. Peder's mother, Karoline Pedersdatter Lokken, married Sigvart Erikson. Karoline and my g.g.grandmother, Ingeborg Pedersdatter Lokken, were sisters next in age. Ingeborg wrote to Karoline in 1878 to encourage Karoline and family to join her in Dodge Cty, Minnesota. Three years later, Karoline and family arrived in Dodge County, from Norway.
