ERB, Eleanor D. - Peacefully, called to her eternal home on Friday, August 4, 2006 at Lisaard House in Cambridge. Eleanor and Ray resided in Elmira. Eleanor was born in Toronto 76 years ago. Daughter of the late Leonard H. Brown and the late Daisy M. Down. Eleanor was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, RR 2, Wellesley. She had a great love for crafts and enjoyed being a Red Cross home maker. Eleanor was a faithful pastor's wife serving many congregations in the area. Devoted wife for 54 years of Rev. Ray Erb of Elmira. Loving mother of Garry and his wife Doris Erb of Listowel and Debbie Erb of Listowel. Dear sister of John and Sheila Brown of Perth, Violet and David Schmucker of Elmira and Mildred Gross of Orillia. Sister-in-law of Harlan and Jean Anders of Pennsylvania. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Trent Erb, Tisha and Tim Strickert, Charity and Shaun Schedler, Rachel Erb, Ryan and Marcus Erb. Great-grandma of Jaret Strickert and Brayden Schedler, ever remembered by the Erb family. Predeceased by a sister, Barbara Anders. Visitation was at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St. in Wellesley, on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A family committal service will be held today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. at Maple View Mennonite Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at Maple View Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. Pastor Bruce Sawatsky will officiate. Memorials to Lisaard House, or to the Maple View Mennonite Church Building Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
