Jan 3, 1924 ~ July 14, 2008 In loving memory Kenneth passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 14, 2008 at the age of 84. Kenneth was born in Lincoln Nebraska on Jan 3, 1924; he lived in Livermore for 38 years and in Lathrop for 8 years. He was a Mechanical Design Engineer at Sandia National Laboratory for 26 years. He also had served our country in the United Sates Navy from 1941-1945. Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn and brothers; James and Donald Helmstadter. He is survived by his 3 children; Christine (Steve) Hudson of Etna, Jon (Claudia) Helmstadter of Aptos & Geralyn (Tim) Schoon of Tracy. He is also survived by several grandchildren including Rhianna & Kenneth Schoon. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday July 21, 11- 12pm, funeral service at 12 noon at Callaghan's Chapel 3833 East Ave Livermore CA. with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
