Bonney Ackley Dossin, 78, of 495 Crown St., died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at the Meriden Center. She was born in Jacksonville, Maine, Dec. 21, 1924, a daughter of the late Hollis R. and Mildred Gray Ackley. She had been an accomplished seamstress and tailor. She had also worked in the restaurant business. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Janet and Rodger McNees of Ludington, Mich., Jill and William Baumann of Campbell Hall, N.Y.; two sons, Paul F. and Marianne Dossin of Washington, D.C., Peter R. Dossin of Meriden; a sister, Raye Reale of Middlebury; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Sally Smith. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden is in charge of arrangements.
