Howard G. Collins, age 91, of Carpentersville formerly of Park Ridge passed away on Friday evening, May 21, 2021 at Tower Hill Healthcare Center in South Elgin. Howard was born on November 24, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois and was the son of the late Edward & Johanna (nee Langmesser) Collins.
Prior to retirement, for over 35 years, Howard was a loyal and valued employee of Commonwealth Edison. He was a very proud United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include his 3 children; Scott Collins, Wendy (Craig) Hippensteel and Craig (Claudia) Collins. Other survivors include his 3 grandchildren; Paul (Kyah), Andy, and Claire Collins, his great grandson; Everett Collins as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife of 71 years; Josephine A. Oberheim Collins on December 10, 2019, Howard was preceded in death by his brothers; LeRoy & Edward Collins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 6-9 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Private family burial with Military Honors will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood Illinois on Thursday.
