Services for Caspel L. "Cap" Russell, 73, Baldwin, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ives Chapel United Methodist Church, Baldwin. The Rev. Rachel Counts-Casson will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin.

Mr. Russell died Saturday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He farmed many years in the Spring Creek Lake area and had been a mechanic at the Madl Implement Co. in Baldwin. He also had worked in oil fields in the area before he retired in 1979.

He was born March 27, 1917, in Jewell County. He moved with his parents when he was 3 to Selden, where he attended grade school. He completed his education in Jamestown.

Mr. Russell lived in Concordia, Jamestown and Scandia before he moved to rural Baldwin in 1950.

He was a member of Ives Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mr. Russell married Kathryn Ferguson May 15, 1939, in Concordia. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, David, Corvallis, Ore., Jim, Baldwin, and Vernon, Lawrence; a daughter, Joan Russell Toot, Baldwin; two brothers, Ivan, Rupert, Idaho, and Louis, Boise, Idaho; six sisters, Eulala Wright, Eva Edwards, Vera Amende and Ferma Webster, all of Twin Falls, Idaho, Helen Webster, Kimberly, Idaho, and Elda Elniff, Concordia; and 11 grandchildren.
